This is one of those pieces where I built the character around a piece of bone I found. The helmet looking thing just really inspired me to do a sort of military looking hunter creature that would use it's boney head for armor. It is a part of a bird, the nose is actually a crab head, and the teeth are from a fish. The jaws are pieces of a fish jawbone. Once this is finished it will be sold as a resin bust. It will be part of our hunter line of busts. It should be available by summer of 2003.

Cynaut- This piece is one of a few in progress peices. I always wanted to do a line of hunter characters to go along with the trophy heads that you are hunting. So Cynaut is a hunter. I am usually working on 3 or 4 different sculptures at a time, so I don't get burnt out on one. This is one of my favorite peices because it is so natural and has come together so easily, that I feel it was destined to be. I had a few huge horseshoe crab shells that looked like helmets. I decided these would work perfectly for a organic type of robotic cyborg. The top of the head the jaw and the cheeckbones are all the back part of the top of horseshoe crabs shell arranged in a variety of ways. These pieces were all epoxy puttied together. The stinger was added to the top of the head with an antenna on the end. Then 4 predator like claws are also from a horseshoe crabs underside. I am always collecting little pieces and parts off toys, models, and anything else interesting. These always come in handy and the piece just falls together like a puzzle. I am also using different shades of sculpey to blend all these peices together, and add the needed details. This piece still has quite a bit of work to be done to complete it. I plan on making molds off it and releasing it as a kit some time next year, it will be part of our hunter series of busts.
